Welcome to Room 116!

I hope you all had a lovely summer filled with fun and exciting activities! I am delighted to get to know you and your child this year. Our learning lab is a safe and welcoming environment that is inclusive to all. I feel it is important to communicate my goals for our class this year. My primary goal for each student is to enjoy learning in our interactive classroom. I believe that a solid student-teacherand parent/guardian-teacherrelationship is important for maximum school success. Throughout the year I will communicate with you through notes, telephone calls, monthly newsletters and emails. I also have full intentions of integrating technology in an effective manner as much as possible- I will keep an updated webpage on the Glen Dhu Public School website to further communicate what is happening in our classroom. Character Education is highly valued not only within our school board and school but also in our learning lab. We will learn about and model different character traits daily and WOW the school and community with our outstanding abilities and traits. We will work together to achieve our learning goals from the Kindergarten curriculum using a variety of different tools and strategies. We are a team in Room 116- we will learn in our own individual ways but our journey will be together.
